Welcome to MAK’s Chess! By booking a lesson or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services
MAK’s Chess provides chess coaching for individuals and small groups, either online or in person. Sessions are booked in advance and delivered by an experienced coach.

2. Bookings and Payments

Lessons must be booked through our website or by direct contact.
Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged.
Prices are shown in NZD and include GST if applicable.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

You can cancel or reschedule a session up to 72 hours before the scheduled time.
No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
If we need to cancel a session, you’ll be offered a full refund or a rescheduled time.

4. Code of Conduct
We expect all students to behave respectfully during lessons. We reserve the right to cancel lessons or refuse service in cases of inappropriate behaviour or harassment, with no refund.

5. Intellectual Property
All teaching materials, course content, and resources provided during lessons are the property of MAK’s Chess. You may not copy, share, or distribute them without permission.

6. Limitation of Liability
We aim to provide high-quality coaching, but we make no guarantees about specific results or outcomes. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of our services, to the extent allowed under NZ law.

7. Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you agree to that policy.

8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will take effect once posted on our website. Continued use of our services means you accept the updated terms.
